Believe it or not, there is fun to be had beyond the slopes. If rushing down a mountain at lightning speed is a little too out of your comfort zone, we recommend strapping on snowshoes instead and exploring Beaver Creek Resort. Don’t worry, you’re horizontal the entire way.
While you’re in Beaver Creek, slide on your skates next and enjoy the ice while looking at the winter wonderland surroundings. Don’t forget the hand warmers and hot chocolate. You’re also surrounded by local shops to stock up on your favorite winter accessories.
At Copper Mountain Resort lay back and slide down the slope on an inner tube. This is a fun activity to enjoy with your family or for a date night. You can slide down with more than one tube at a time so everyone is included. This also isn’t nearly as dangerous or scary as skiing and boarding this season.
If you’re out by Steamboat Springs, you can hop on in and take an authentic sleigh ride. You’re out of the city and surrounded by the snow-covered mountains. There’s nothing more enchanting than this during the cold and icy season.
