Every year, local law enforcement officials band together to celebrate National Drive Sober Week throughout the entire week leading up to the Labor Day weekend. Impaired driving is one of the leading causes of motor vehicle crashes and fatalities, and Colorado has strict limits for driving under the influence of alcohol or other legal substances. Summertime is all about learning how to enjoy the outdoors while beating the heat. One of our favorite ways to have the best of both worlds is by eating a delicious meal out on the patio of some of our favorite local restaurants. It’s officially August, and you know what that means: the 17^th annual ‘Stuff for Students’ school supply drive has officially begun. Once again, Larry H. Miller’s Colorado Chrysler Jeep dealership is partnering with other Colorado-based Larry H. Miller dealerships, Denver’s 9NEWS, and the Volunteers of America (VOA) Colorado Branch to provide school supplies for local pupils. Our dealership will be receiving donations all this month, so stop in and support public schools within your community.

As if the beauty of our state isn’t reason enough to enjoy living here, there is more than just meets the eye. For our dealership in particular, we appreciate the access to some killer jeep trails. The summer is here, and that leaves some of us wanting to run away from our responsibilities and chase the sunshine. Sometimes an escape during this busy season is just what you need. Luckily, Denver is an accessible city with surroundings that are easy to navigate. We’ve got a few recommendations for a quick vacation this summer to get your feel of the warmer months.
 

This month we wanted to throw it back a bit and highlight the importance and presence of our beloved Jeeps during World War ll. In 1940 it was clear that if the U.S. entered World War II, the motorcycles and Ford Model Ts used in World War I would be vastly inadequate. They would need a modest-sized, all-terrain exploration vehicle on their side, so they sent out proposal requests to automotive companies across the country.

Spring is in the air and we can’t help but share our excitement. We’re starting to see blossoms on the trees and it makes us want to get out and about around our city for some exploring. Luckily, our town is filled with exciting activities that don’t cost a thing and are great to take your kiddos to. So hop in your Jeep Grand Cherokee and head into town for some spring time fun.
